Terms of Use

Plain terms for a free tool. The important one is that the figures are estimates, not a substitute for your eBay invoice.

By using ebayfee.com you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

1. What we provide

ebayfee.com provides a free online calculator that estimates eBay selling fees, along with written guides about those fees. The site is provided as it is, without any account, contract or commitment on either side, and we may change or withdraw any part of it at any time.

2. The figures are estimates

This is the most important term here. The fee rates used by the calculator are drawn from published fee structures and are maintained in good faith, but:

  • eBay can and does change its fees, sometimes at short notice
  • rates vary by category, seller level, shop subscription, account status, promotions and country
  • some categories, including motors and property, operate under fee structures the calculator does not model
  • your own account may be subject to terms we cannot see

The output is therefore an estimate for planning purposes. Your eBay fee invoice is the authoritative record of what you have actually been charged, and you should check it before relying on any figure from this site to set prices or make business decisions.

3. Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is financial, tax, accounting or legal advice, and no professional relationship is created by using it. Questions about VAT registration, whether you are trading as a business, or how to report your income are for a qualified accountant or adviser who can see your full circumstances.

4. No affiliation with eBay

ebayfee.com is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to eBay Inc. or any of its subsidiaries. eBay and related marks are the property of their respective owners and are used here only to describe what the calculator is for. We cannot act on your behalf with eBay in any capacity.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the site in any way that breaks the law or infringes the rights of others
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server, or any system connected to it
  • place unreasonable load on the service through automated requests, scraping or denial of service
  • republish substantial parts of our written content as your own, or use it to train a commercial model, without written permission

Reasonable personal and business use of the calculator, including running as many calculations as you genuinely need, is exactly what it is for.

6. Intellectual property

The text of the guides, the design of the site and the calculator itself belong to us. You may quote short extracts with a link back for the purposes of comment or review. Wholesale copying is not permitted.

7. Advertising

The site is funded by advertising. Adverts are supplied by third parties and their presence is not an endorsement of the advertiser, their products or their claims. Any dealing you have with an advertiser is between you and them. How advertising cookies work is covered in our privacy policy.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site or reliance on the figures it produces. The site is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always the one on this page, with its review date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms can go to [email protected] or via the contact page.
